Paper Posing

Paper has become my favorite model. In school I wanted to become a fashion photographer and after making all my friends tie their hair in buns, wear vintage clothes, and make pouty faces, luckily for them I found design halfway through the four years. Now I am the foolish looking one crawling on the floor with my chin pressed against the floor getting detail shots and standing on rolling chairs to get the above shot (even when I know it's dangerous and I fall off nearly every time... can't waste the 2 minutes it takes to get another chair). I am in the process of rephotographing all my past work with my shiny new lens and am confident I can style everything like the pros... just need a little inspiration.

Love from the Nico

My dear friend, Julie, sent me a letter from her service in Nicaragua!!!! I created these little stationery pieces for her before she left this summer. The sweet letter brought me to tears (of happiness!). One of the best lines was "Is Cali still bankrupt/is it on fire?"

So proud of all your hard work, Jules. You're making the world a better place!

Crappy Envelopes, Sad Face

I found this box when I dove deep into the MaeMae abyss while packing. I laughed so hard when I saw this. Are you kidding me, Megan. A box label telling me not to use it because the envelopes are crappy. Why would I keep that. It is RIP in the recycling now. I love purging. Glory.

The Gift That Keeps Giving

The holiday season is approaching and what could be the more prefect gift to give (or receive...) than your own stash of personal stationery? It's a gift that doesn't just touch one soul, but every person that receives the noes and letters on the stationery will feel the love. You know your friends have all been gifted Bath & Body Works for over a decade now. They all secretly (or apparently) are dying for a gift with more thought. MaeMae is ready to start creating those gifts with you! For the frugal correspondence connoisseur we now have a Print at Home service. Same great designs and details and you will receive the file to print at home or your local print shop. I don't think you can pass that up. And, hello, you can print it as many times as you want.

Here are some past personal stationery projects. We can do any size, folded cards, long cards, letterpress, flat printing, lined envelopes, etc etc. You can download prices here.

Double sided, flat stationery card

Matching stationery sheets and stationery cards

Mix and match folded card, flat card, mini card

It's not too late for holiday greeting cards too!!

New Website!

This is going to sound crazy... because it really is. During the middle of my big move to the new live/work space, I created a new website for MaeMae! It was not planned by any means. I just sat down and decided to update my new logo on the site and then POOF 10 hours later I have an almost complete website! I still need to add photos, but check it out! Since it still is a work in progress I would love to hear what you would like to see more of on the site.
