Good Stock Press & Bindery!!!

Recently I have been working with the coolest company: Good Stock. Founded by Kim Screen, Good Stock takes your piles of photos and your box of stuff and - with your help - outlines it into a story. They design and layout each page. They print everything on high-quality paper. And then they bind your book the old fashioned way - with a skilled pair of hands. I contacted Kim back in September and we have been designing together since. She is one of the most personable and kind people. Call her today to start designing a book! 866-216-8832.

Here are the two projects I designed for her to test out how we would work together. The first book is a square board book of my wedding. The second is an accordion book of my honeymoon. It's the coolest thing! The inside pulls out to display a long sheet of photos and the back is a pattern. My pattern was a scan of a bandanna I bought in Mexico that I wore when we were there.

photos featured in the wedding book are by the talented Shannon Leith.

Antelope Valley Bridal Fair

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the MaeMae Paperie at the bridal fair this Sunday! I had a great time chatting with you all.

Congrats to Maggie for winning the 100 FREE CUSTOM THANK YOU CARDS!!! I am excited to design with you.

And a special thanks to my sweet, Jae, who was the most attentive helper. I couldn't have done it without you!

A photographer from the Antelope Valley Press came to photograph my both and there will a business profile on me in the business section! I will keep you posted.

Happy New Year, Baby!

Happy 2009!!! (10 days late...)

I am coming at 2009 a million miles an hour and excited for all of my opportunities.

Some of my new adventures and goals:

*BLOG MORE!!
*Cooking with whole wheat (making a whole wheat pizza crust right now as I type in the kitchen)
*Attend lots of shows to share my work with people (first show tomorrow: the 5th Annual Bridal Show at the Antelope Valley Fair grounds! You can find my booth in the Poppy Pavilion.)
*Use lots of thank you notes. I have so much to be grateful for.

Thank you to everyone who reads my blog. I promise to keep you very entertained this year.

Mae
