Branches & Light Workshop

Last summer (which seems so far away now!) I worked with Caroline Joy + Nancy Ray to create branding for their photography workshop: Branches & Light. The workshop aims to assist other female photographers take their love for photography and create small business. They outline the topics they will be addressing at both the Dallas + Raleigh workshops on their website. My favorite of the topics is "overcoming fear and embracing freedom in business." Beautifully put!

I also created Caroline's branding which I will showcase before their second workshop in a few weeks!

I am sponsoring a giveaway of my initial stamps for all of you and the lovely followers of Branches & Light.  Anyone can enter! All you have to do is....

1. Leave a comment on both the MaeMae blog as well as the Branches and Light blog, listing a New Year's Resolution for your business - something you want to do differently in 2011.  (you can leave the same comment in both places)

2. Update your twitter and facebook status with 'I love @maemaepaperie and @branches_light workshop!'

YAY! The winner will be announced between the two workshops (end of next week.)

Good luck. xx

Thank you to everyone who participated!! The winner is Krystal Nicole Photography! WOO! Krystal please send me your mailing address and which initial you want and I will pop that in the mail.

Congratulations for your inspiring work!

Hard to get down to one and only resolution..!
My number 1 resolution for 2011 is to stop thinking about everything that could happen (or not happen!), to actually start what I know would make me a happier person:my own design/stationary business and to expose all my creations to the public!

MY 2011 NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION IS TO GIVE UP CONTROL OF MY BUSINESS TO THE LORD. GIVE OVER MY WORRY, MY CONSTANT ANXIETY AND GIVE IT TO HIM EVERY SINGLE DAY. AND BECOME A DILIGENT AND PURPOSEFUL BUSINESS WOMAN. I WANT TO HAVE AT LEAST THREE MARKETING STRATEGIES DONE BY THE END OF THE 1ST QUARTER.

Penelope –   – (January 17, 2011 at 9:00 PM)

If it's not too late to post:
Since I just moved to a new city, my new year's resolution is to network and to build a new body of work inspired by my new location.

Unknown  – (January 20, 2011 at 3:26 AM)

Oh, I love your crafts. The stamps are all lovely. I also want to start my own business, but still finding some financial aid for the extra expenses. This kind of challenge reminds me of one the former deputy city comptroller in New York, Michael Geffrard, who is now the CEO of his investment banking company which helps small and big business owners in funding. Ya know, when your business becomes a success and big, you should really give back to the community, too. It's one of the things I learned in a seminar I've attended last month. Anyway, I really do hope to see more of your works. Cheers!

The artistic factor that both have in their repertoire, in addition to how you made the branding for their workshop, will surely rake in a lot of would-be attendees interested in participating.

My goal last year was to open up a small business of my interest, and it happened. =) This year, my goal is to make my small business more organized by improving my bookkeeping and inventory skills. Hihi!
