Here are some of my favorite ideas for the stamp during the holidays:

- make wrapping paper - use a bright ink and stamp it on kraft paper
- use it as a seal on the back of Christmas cards
- tags tags tags tags tags!
- stamp it straight onto a box and write your "to" and "from" underneath
- leave your mark on a goodie bag filled with cookies for your neighbor
- create a Moleskine journal for 2011 logging your goals and accomplishments and initial the front

The stamp makes a great stocking stuffer and gift exchange option. It arrives in a sweet linen pouch with a black ink pad and ink refill. It's the gift with endless possibilities!

Business Card Stamp

My bestie Whit has always been an inspiration to me. She may even be the cause of my current rubber stamp obsession. Since we were young she has always been an avid stamp collector and everyone was talking about when she created party invitations from a huge dress rubber stamp (seen above). Of course I had my mom drive me to the nearest Michaels and bought one too. Duh. And I still have it.

Whit has grown up to be a beautiful artist and currently works as the display coordinator at Anthroplogie. Wow. No biggie. Her talents span far beyond creating beautiful window and other installation displays. She is a marvelous painter and sculptor. These are her new business cards created from a stamp so that she can switch up her ink and paper choices whenever she wants. You can also use them to create letterheads!

Don't miss her image journal blog Her White Sunrise. One of my absolute favs. And it still would be even if I didn't know her.

Want your own? Buy one at the shop for $78. Choose from 20 different designs!

Everyone Needs at Least One Rubber Stamp

Stamps have become my latest obsession. I feel like I peer pressure all my clients to make a rubber stamp with me. Thankfully they all cave :) But really they are so genius. You can purchase one piece and customize just about anything. And they look super cute sitting on a desk. My old college rommie, Britt, wanted to create stationery for her globe-trotting sister, Morgan. Since she can't carry too many things with her a stamp is perfect because she can collect little papers and envelopes as she goes and put her mark on them. Want your own? Email me today at: megan@maemaepaperie.com. Thanks for always thinking of me to create gifts for you loved ones Britt!. xxx

p.s. my stamp manufacturer's motto is: "everyone needs at least one rubber stamp." GENIUS. Makes me chuckle every time.

Happiest of Birthdays!

It's funny how the things you love when you are younger shape your career! I used to LLOOOOOVVVEEE making place cards + menus for my parent's dinner parties, birthday cards, Christmas cards + wrapping paper, Valentines, love notes... just anything stationery. It was all by hand, lots of watercolors, stencils, and collages. Now that I design stationery every waking moment, it is still fun for me to design personal card for loved ones. This birthday card, envelope + liner is for my sis (in-law), Allyson. Love you, Al!

B is for Bonnie.

So I admit it... I overdosed on tags this year. I was obsessed with little printed nuggets. I made these for my mom with custom designed "B's" for Bonnie. There is a little "To:" space and then they say "from Bonnie". Wohooo! Probably going to make myself some "M" ones... I hand cut about 50 of them, and am hoping to get a tag-die-cutter in the near future. I think I woke up to hand cramps the next day.

Sharon's Shower

This little shower invite was created for the lovely bride-to-be, Sharon who is walking down the aisle this weekend in San Diego! I love the color theme, chosen by the always brilliant, Whitty Stroupe. The shower was a backyard themed soiree with the coolest gift idea for the new couple: they made them a mosaic table out of cups and bowls the guests brought. Genius.

Candy Colored Christmas

I feel like the the plumber with the broken sink this year... a stationer who doesn't send out Christmas cards. Boo on me. Next year we will have a whole collection of customizable cards, so hopefully I can gather myself some.

I did get to have a little fun with some ladies who participated in the Brooklyn Bride Third Annual Card Exchange. I decided to go with a super bright and cheery theme. I also gave my five ladies some little gift tags to share with their loved ones.
